I build things and follow ideas wherever they go — usually software or hardware, but not always.

I’m interested in technology, art, and philosophy, and how they show up in the things I make.

This site is a collection of projects, notes, and experiments along the way.

Most of what I build lives on a subdomain of byah.org (deckforge.byah.org, slopyard.byah.org, and so on) instead of its own domain name. That's on purpose. I miss the version of the internet where you'd stumble into someone's weird little corner of it just by clicking around — before everything worth visiting needed its own brand and its own domain. Buying a new domain for every project nudges you toward having fewer, more "serious" things, instead of a lot of small, unfinished, honest ones. Subdomains keep that friction low and put everything under one roof I actually maintain, so I'd rather add another link under byah.org than register another .com. (landlordlog is the exception — that one has its own domain and might end up fully standalone.)
